In the settings, you can choose to display two types of translations: machine and human. The machine translation is very literal, it helps you understand the structure of the sentence in the language you are studying. It can contain errors sometimes. The human translation is often useful, as it correctly translates expressions and idioms.

You can use keyboard keys to control the player.

  • 'a' for the previous subtitle.

What to Watch

To help you find vidoes, we created a catalogue for Netflix and YouTube. You can open the catalogue in the menu on the left side of this page.

YouTube has videos on any topic, in all major languages. However, YouTube tries to hide foreign content from you.

So, we made these extra buttons next to the search bar on YouTube:

The button on the left translates the text in the search box, so you can more easily find videos in the language you study. The button on the right searches for videos with subtitles.

You can change your YouTube user interface language into the language you are studying. YouTube will then show you more videos in that language. Show more

How to Import a Webpage
